Treatments
Every plan is built around the individual. Below is how Ayurveda, Naturopathic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine fit together, and the specific therapies offered at the Institute.
The Integrative Difference
Think of it as three lenses on the same person. Ayurveda reads your constitution, Naturopathy adds modern testing and science-based natural medicine, and Chinese Medicine restores flow and relieves pain. Together they cover far more ground than any one system alone.
Determines your dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and uses food, herbs, oils and detox therapies to rebalance it.
Adds lab work, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine and hydrotherapy — licensed, evidence-informed care.
Acupuncture, cupping, gua sha and Chinese herbs target pain, stress and energy imbalances.
An Ayurvedic assessment to understand your constitution → targeted lab testing and a clinical-nutrition plan from naturopathic medicine → weekly acupuncture for pain or stress → a Panchakarma or colon-hydrotherapy detox to reset → herbal formulas drawn from whichever tradition fits you best. One coordinated team, one plan.
Ayurvedic Therapies
A full-body massage with warm, herb-infused oils chosen for your constitution. Abhyanga loosens deep-seated toxins (ama), improves arterial and lymphatic circulation, calms the nervous system and nourishes the skin. Deeply relaxing and often the first step of a detox program.
A continuous, gentle stream of warm oil (or medicated buttermilk) flows across the forehead and “third eye.” Profoundly calming for the mind, Shirodhara is used for stress, anxiety, insomnia, headaches and mental fatigue — many patients describe it as the most relaxing hour of their month.
A therapeutic herbal steam that opens the body’s channels, mobilizes impurities and prepares tissues for removal of toxins. Typically follows Abhyanga, easing stiffness and supporting the detox process.
Ayurveda’s signature cleansing program: a sequenced series of therapies (oil massage, steam, dietary protocols and gentle elimination treatments, often including colon hydrotherapy) that clears accumulated toxins and resets the system. Ideal for chronic conditions, seasonal renewal and restoring energy. Plans are customized over several days or weeks.
Featured — Often Overlooked
One of the practice’s most effective, and most underused, therapies for gut health and detox.
Colon hydrotherapy gently flushes the large intestine with warm, filtered water to remove built-up waste. It supports regularity, eases bloating and gas, improves nutrient absorption and aids the body’s natural detoxification — leaving many patients feeling lighter and more energized.
Sessions are private, comfortable and performed by trained practitioners. Colonics work especially well alongside an Ayurvedic Panchakarma cleanse or a naturopathic gut-health plan. If you’ve struggled with sluggish digestion, chronic constipation or simply want a reset, this is an excellent place to start.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
One of the practice’s most requested therapies. Fine, sterile needles placed at specific points restore the flow of qi — used for chronic and acute pain, migraines, stress, sleep, digestive issues and fertility support.
Book acupuncture →Suction cups lift and decompress tissue to increase circulation, release muscle tension and speed recovery — popular for back, neck and shoulder pain.
Gentle scraping along the skin to release tension, reduce inflammation and improve circulation in tight or painful areas.
Time-tested herbal combinations prescribed to your pattern of imbalance, working alongside acupuncture and your wider care plan.
Naturopathic Medicine
Food is medicine. An optimal, personalized diet is built to correct deficiencies and support healing, the cornerstone of natural care.
Herbal medicine used extensively across all three traditions. Plant-based remedies tailored to your needs, gentle yet effective.
Detailed analysis to uncover patterns of free-radical activity and imbalance, guiding a precise, individualized treatment plan.
The therapeutic use of water — hot, cold and contrast — to stimulate circulation, reduce inflammation and support healing.
Electric stimulation and manual therapies to relieve pain and restore function, integrated with acupuncture and bodywork.
For chronic pain, the practice combines Ayurvedic oils & bodywork, TCM acupuncture & cupping, and naturopathic physical medicine into one plan.
That’s exactly what the first visit is for — an opportunity to listen, assess and design a plan together.
